ABOUT US

Manipal OPTICA Student Chapter (formerly Manipal OSA Student Chapter), is a ten year old chapter of OPTICA (formerly known as OSA) located in Manipal, Karnataka, India. The chapter was established under the guidance of Dr. K. K. Mahato, Professor, Department of Biophysics and Dr. Nirmal Mazumder, Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics from MSLS, MAHE. The chapter was inaugurated in October 2016 and currently has over 90 members, actively involved in promoting science to the young minds at school, undergraduate and postgraduate levels with various popular activities, outreach visits, holding contests, popularizing science, organizing membership drives and attending student leadership programs.
